Coach Nexus Japan started its activities in 2021 to support the achievement of each goal for individuals and organizations who have various worries and anxieties but are trying to move toward the future without giving up.

We aim to maximize the power of individuals through coaching and to increase their value and competitiveness for companies and various organizations.

Specifically, coaching encourages clients (people who receive coaching) to raise their perspectives, broaden their horizons, and increase their perspectives. In addition, we aim to realize sustainable behavioral changes that cannot be easily realized by one person by looking deeply at oneself through dialogue with the coach. And I am convinced that in addition to achieving our achievement goals, the growth we gain in the process will increase the value of our clients.

As an individual grows, the individual becomes motivated and rewarding to work, and the organization develops, and the development of the organization further enhances the individual's motivation and satisfaction. We would like to realize a vibrant society in which a virtuous cycle of such organizations and individuals is built.

What is Coaching?

​Supporting positive behavior towards goals

To reach your goals, you need to think about the differences between your goals and your current location, what you need to do to overcome them, put them into action, and change your own behaviour.

However, behavioral change is more difficult than you might think. Therefore, it is effective to have a coach to continuously review one's behavior from an objective point of view.

The subject is yourself

The subject of coaching is yourself who receives the coaching.

Coaches provide information when requested, but do not lead or force action.

By looking deeply at yourself, thinking for yourself, and taking action, that idea becomes your own and leads to continuous behavioral transformation.

Free orientation

We will carefully explain the definition and principles of coaching, conventions, how coaching is carried out, etc. in detail. This is a preparatory step to help you start your session effectively with a common understanding with your coach.

Orientation will be individualized (private) as well as actual coaching.

After the orientation, you can decide whether or not to take the course after that.

Private coaching

1 on 1 session with the coach.

Basically, you can take classes online using Zoom etc.

This is a completely individualized coaching session that aims to reach the goal you want to reach with your coach.

From 32,000 yen a month

(60 minutes once every other week, twice a month)

In the case of 60 minutes once every other week, basically 6 sessions are regarded as one cycle, but we will respond after considering individual circumstances such as frequency and number of sessions.

* The number of participants during the same period is limited in order to keep coaching quality.

Group coaching

We respond to the requests of companies and organizations that plan sessions and seminars for a large number of people, such as organizations and teams.

This is also basically handled online.

Please feel free to contact us as we will respond flexibly to the extent possible in consideration of individual circumstances regarding the number of times and frequency.

Fees will be presented individually depending on the content and number of times.

    Message

    When some people hear the word "coaching," they may have a negative image of coaching, such as anxiety or resistance to receiving coaching or doubts about the effectiveness of coaching.

    However, the coaching I received from my boss when I was young was the reason why I was able to do a fulfilling job in the world of international finance, and later to start my own business and expand it to overseas.

    In fact, the coaching I received from my boss when I was young was behind the fact that I was able to advance to.

    At the time, I was not aware that I was being coached, but my boss's casual coaching changed the way I thought and approached my work.

    On the other hand, in 2007, I took a three-month leave of absence to take care of my mother, and I felt the limits of my work-first way of life.

    Also, when the company I was working for at that time went almost bankrupt in March 2008 and was merged for relief, I had an experience that made me think deeply about how I should be as a team leader.

    In addition, I have had the following experiences.

    ・ Experience of mental exhaustion in an environment where I did not know when I would be fired

    ・ Experience of being suddenly appointed as a manager and feeling confused

    ・ Experience of receiving resistance from subordinates when I was appointed as a manager in a new workplace

    ・ Experience that the team's performance did not improve easily and was at a loss

    ・ Experience of Having to give notice of termination to a subordinate

    ・ Experience of getting sick due to stress

    ・ As a manager, I had a hard time manage the team member as a team because I couldn't clearly convey my policies     and ideas.

    ・ Experience that I almost burned out because I was too much devoted to work

    ・ Experience suffering from the gap between ideal and reality after starting up a business

    ・ I was looking for a job that I could work on seriously, but I couldn't find it easily.

    Based on these experiences, I strongly hope that coaching will help people who are suffering from the current environment, work, and relationships. I also believe that sharing with those people how I have overcome my experiences, including various failures, and supporting them is my life's work that I should undertake.

    Career

    After working at Fuji Bank, Ltd., I moved to Lehman Brothers, and after that, spent over 15 years at the forefront of international finance.

    In 1999, at the Deutsche Bank Group, I achieved the top sales position in Japan and the second best in the world as Government Bond Sales.

    I also served as Managing Director of JP Morgan Securities, Senior Managing Director of Bear Stearns Securities,

    and Managing Director of Deutsche Securities.

    In order to improve the performance of the company, I carried out various tasks such as negotiating with clients, sales planning, cooperation and coordination with other departments, and at the same time, contributed to the recruitment of human resources. In addition to recruiting new graduates and existing graduates in Japan, I participated in the Boston Career Forum several times, mainly for international students attending universities in the United States. I also have extensive experience as a final interviewer. I conducted hundreds of interviews as a recruiter.

    As a manager, I took a team that was ranked outside of the top 10 in the industry and turned it into a top-tier team in the industry in 3 years by encouraging each team member to change their mindset and behavior, and by instilling the vision in the team.

    In addition, I invited people who were not performing well in other departments to join his team and changed their awareness through smooth communication. I felt the real thrill of being a manager when I saw them grow to become one of the top performers.

    In 2011, I established Global Reach, a human resources development institution that survives the global era.

    Developed a study abroad program for Japanese elementary, junior high and high school students in collaboration with educational institutions in the UK, Switzerland and Australia.

    Actively promote inter-school alliances and contribute to the internationalization of Japanese educational institutions. Build relationships with public institutions such as embassies in each country.

    In 2018, I became an advisor in partnership with other companies to diversify and expand the business.

    In 2021, we started the activities of Coach Nexus Japan, which provides coaching that contributes to the achievement of business results and personal growth in the process, with the aim of realizing the success of business people who will lead the future of Japan.

    Counseling, consulting, and coaching are very similar, but different, in helping clients solve their problems.

    Counselors are specialists, especially in the area of mental health, primarily dealing with the past and aiming to improve problems.

    Consultants are experts in a particular industry or business and are responsible for answering the client's challenges.

     

    Coaches are communication experts and focus on encouraging independent thinking and voluntary action through communication with clients.

    Also, the biggest difference is that the coach and the client are not "teachers" and "teachers", but on an "equal relationship".

    The psychological safety created by equal relationships brings new awareness and leads to behavioral change.
